Select each picture or movie segment and drag the edges on the left or right until they're the right length. Under "Edit," click "Transitions." Return to "Storyboard" mode and drag the desired transition on the space relating to the movie clips. Click "Effects" and drag the effect you wish to each section inside the storyboard. The star will appear within the lower left hand corner from the segment to demonstrate that an effect continues to be applied.

Return to "Timeline" mode and after that click and drag your audio track towards the timeline. Make any adjustments you really feel are necessary to edit the playback quality to match the music.
